Dear Friend,
Here I go again...I am going to attempt to play 100 holes in one day for charity - this is equivalent to 5 & 1/2 rounds of golf. This truly is an extreme effort for an amateur like me, but I consider myself fortunate to try.
Why am I doing this?
-- To raise money for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) in memory of my mom who lost her life in October 1995 from this terrible disease which literally stiffens your lungs and takes your breath away. Our family had never heard of pulmonary fibrosis until the end of her life. PFF mobilizes people and resources to lead research for a cure so people with pulmonary fibrosis will live longer, healthier lives.
-- To raise money for for PGA HOPE "Helping Our Patriots Everywhere," which offers free golf lessons to military Veterans as a therapeutic tool to help them improve their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. My dad introduced me to the game when I was 11 years old, and I am now blessed to work for the NCPGA and PGA HOPE. My dad is a WWII Navy Veteran who will celebrate his 95th birthday on October 26th! He is my "Arnold Palmer".
My date of my Challenge will be Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at El Macero Country Club in Davis, CA. I am grateful that I am physically able to attempt this Challenge, and my goal is to play all 100 holes! If you would like to support me in this Challenge, then please consider sponsoring me for $1, $2, $5 or more per hole. This pledge is 100% tax deductible through the NCPGA Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. You will receive an electronic receipt for tax purposes.
I really need your support and thank you in advance for making a difference.
